Life has been keeping me busy in
2009! In September I will be entering university in Birmingham,
in October Alun and I are getting married! As a result of preparing
for both I haven't done a single show this year and may not next
year as well. But...my glass and jewellery will still be available
through this site or directly from my studio in Leamington Spa,
as well as from a number of fine galleries. If you are signed
up to my newsletter you will get to see the latest creations
from the torch and be able to take advantage of great offers.

My studio in Leamington Spa, with
it's state-of-the-art Barley Box made of glass, has been refined
and improved and is the scene of one-to-one lampwork tuition.
Or even one-to-two, as I have a Nortel Minor torch and a Hot
Head torch for students to experiment with. With the start of
university classes at the end of September (Speech and Language
Therapy, if you're asking!), I will be offering classes one weekend
a month, on other days as available during holiday and break
times. I really love to teach and wish I'd had me as a teacher
when I started lampworking, it would have saved me months of
faffing around, not sure of what I was doing or even if I had
the torch lit properly!
Check my classes
page for more information.

In 2007 I was featured in the June
issue of Herefordshire Life magazine, in a lovely three page
article by Chris Poole.
A full page photo of me was also
in Portrait of Herefordshire, a book of black and white photos
taken by Malcolm Scott, showing life in the countryside as it
is now.

The classes that Jane Ballard and
I have offered at Exemplar Glass were the focus of an article
in Craft and Design magazine. Our lampworking class was tested
and found to be good!
We also had three prize winners
from Bead magazine and Beads and Beyond magazine take their free
day of lampwork tuition.
